Singer, guitarist and bouzouki player Sam Hodgson has 10+ years experience working with communities around Yorkshire in songwriting and music making.
Music workshops, oral history and verbatim songwriting, commissioned soundscapes, interactive performances, and intimate live performances.
His interest lies in music as a benefit for the wellbeing of communities and individuals. Sam has worked with some of the most pioneering community music organisations and projects in the North, including Live Music Now, Swan Song, Artichoke Trust and Let's Go Yorkshire.
He has also facilitated songwriting in high security prisons, with NEAT and SEN children, with adults with learning differences and as a lecturer at university.
With his bands Samh, Band of Jays, and Hebble, Sam has performed at some of the UK's most notable folk and alternative venues and festivals, and his music has been played on national and international radio.
